Heidi Sowards
SCMIA Figure Skating Director
Heidi has been skating her entire life and coaching for almost 30 years. She has been a skating director for 20 years and in that roll, she runs the Learn to Skate USA classes and the summer skating camps held at the South Charleston Memorial Ice Arena. Heidi coaches students of all ages and skill levels in skating skills, singles, and pairs, as well as coaching synchronized skating and Theatre on Ice teams.

Mischa DiFilippo
Mischa has a lifelong love of figure skating, having skated on ponds until an indoor skating rink was built when she was in middle school. She has been coaching for the past 23 years and is accepting new students of all ages and skill levels. She is available for private lessons in skating skills, singles, and ice dance. Morgan Perrine
Morgan has 22 years of skating experience and has been coaching for over 12 years. She is active in the adult skating community, competing both nationally and internationally in multiple disciplines including singles, pairs, and partnered ice dance. She holds several U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships titles in multiple disciplines including showcase and ice dance.

Dave Sweeney
Dave has nine years of figure skating experience after having been a roller skater for about six years. He has been coaching for six years and actively participates in adult competitions both nationally and internationally. He competes in several disciplines including singles, pairs, and partnered ice dance and holds several titles in multiple disciplines including singles, showcase, and ice dance.
Dave is available to teach skaters of all ages and skill levels in all disciplines: skating skills, singles, pairs, and ice dance (both solo and partnered). Dave can be reached via phone or text.

Olivia Walker
Olivia has 19 years of skating experience and four years of competitive collegiate skating experience. She has been coaching for eight years and is accepting new students of all ages and skill levels. She teaches skating skills, singles, and ice dance. Olivia also coaches hockey skills, focusing on power and edges. She would love to help you achieve your skating goals and dreams!

Abby Sowards
Abby has been skating her whole life and coaching for 11 years. She is a gold medalist and was a competitive figure skater through college. She has experience with Theatre on Ice as both a participant and a coach and especially loves creating choreography and working on showcase programs. Abby coaches singles at all ages and skill levels, focusing on the beginner levels, and she is accepting new students.
