Junior Board Nominations – due Wednesday, February 5, 2025
Nominations for junior board officers are open! Nominations, either for yourself or someone else, must be received by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 5th and should go to Amanda Bowles. All CFSC club members under 18 years old may send in nominations. Once all the nominations have been received and confirmed, elections will be held. Keep an eye out for emails from the club.
Skating Show at Canaan – weekend of February 7-8, 2025
The third set of skating shows at Canaan Valley Resort are coming up. Our skaters will be performing three shows over the course of the weekend: Friday night at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. In between shows, they’ll be able to visit the local shops and enjoy other outdoor activities. If you’re considering spending a weekend in the area, this would be a great one as there will be only 1 more weekend with shows this season, the weekend of March 7-8, 2025.
Freestyle Time Change – Saturday, February 8, 2025
Please note that the time for freestyle has been changed to 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm due to hockey events taking place at the rink.
Princess Skate – Sunday, February 23, 2025, 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm
SCMIA is hosting a Princess Skate with support from our very own skating princesses. The cost is $10 per skater which includes skating with your favorite princess, arts and crafts, and a special play area for our youngest visitors. Contact the rink at 304-744-4423 for more information and spread the word!
Competition Corner

- Morgan and Dave will be competing at the Albert Viviani Memorial/Deborah Burgoyne Invitational in Wyandotte, MI February 14 – February 16. Morgan is competing in adult bronze ladies, Dave is competing in adult silver men, and they are competing in silver pairs together.
