Light the Night Wrap-Up

All three events we had during Light the Night last month were big successes!

• Although the turn-out at the Youth Skating Clinic was on the small side, everyone had a great time, and we learned a lot and are now better prepared to run more next year. Special thanks to Dave and Morgan for organizing and running this event.
• We had 60 club members come out to the CFSC group night with several people stopping by our table. A big thank-you to Tierra, Laurie, Jayana Rae, and Lillian for manning the table and making it look so nice.
• Despite having to be rescheduled, the Skating Exhibition did go on with quite a few of our skaters participating. It was so well-received that it actually ran longer than initially planned Well, done, skaters! Shout out to Dave, Morgan, and Tierra for coordinating not only on exhibition day, but also the practices beforehand.

Home for the Holidays

We had a great turn-out for our annual holiday showcase, with over 40 numbers performed! All the skaters did a great job, our raffle fundraiser was a huge success, and everyone enjoyed some good food and camaraderie after the show. Special thanks to Shelby for being our fabulous emcee!

Skating Show at Canaan – weekend of January 10-11, 2025

The second round of skating shows at Canaan Valley Resort are coming up. Our skaters will be performing three shows over the course of the weekend: Friday night at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. In between shows, they’ll be able to visit the local shops and enjoy outdoor activities – yes, there are others aside from skating! If you’re considering spending a weekend in the area, this would be a great one. There will be 2 more weekends with shows: February 7-8, 2025 and March 7-8, 2025.
