Youth Ice Skating Clinic – Saturday, December 7, 2024, 9:00 am – 11:00 am

CFSC will be running the first ever Youth Ice Skating Clinic hosted by the Dirty Birds at the GoMart Ballpark. Thes clinic is for kids aged 4-12 and includes ice skating instruction, both on and off the ice, lunch, and a T-shirt. Help us spread the word! Registration for the clinic is through the Dirty Birds website, and if you or your skater is interested in helping out, please contact Dave Sweeney or Beth Brandt.

Light the Nights Group Night – Saturday, December 7, 2024, 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Join fellow skaters and their families for a fun night at Light the Night at the GoMart Ballpark. Enjoy the lights choreographed to holiday music, walk through the light display (don’t get lost in the maze!), have some s’mores, and – of course – go skating! Contact Beth Brandt or Tierra Crockett to get your tickets at the discounted group rate. Be sure to stop by our information table and say hi – or, better yet, sign up to take a shift and help us spread the word.

Holiday Showcase – Sunday, December 15, 2024, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Start planning your program! Plans for our Home for the Holidays Show are well underway. Look for the sign-up sheet on the club bulletin board in the locker room, soon to be followed by the sign-up sheet for sides and desserts for the reception after the show. Main courses will be provided by Olive Garden. Also plan to attend the dress rehearsal the day before (Saturday12/14) during our usual freestyle time – 9:00 am – 11:00 am.

Light the Nights Club Exhibition – Monday, December 30, 2024, 5:30 pm

CFSC will be hosting a figure skating exhibition during Light the Night at the Ballpark and we need skaters! There will be a group number with all skaters, and each skater will have the opportunity to demonstrate some of their best skills (this will not be a full program). If you are interested in participating, please contact Dave Sweeney or Morgan Perrine.

Skating Show at Canaan – weekend of December 12-13, 2024

Several of our skaters are returning this season to Canaan Valley Resort. They will be performing in three shows over the course of the weekend: Friday night at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. In between shows, they’ll be able to visit the local shops and enjoy outdoor activities – yes, there are others aside from skating! If you’ve ever considered spending a weekend in the area, this would be a great one. There will be 3 additional weekends with shows: January 10-12, 2025, February 7-8, 2025, and March 7-8, 2025.
